FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

How will I know when my cleaning days are?
- 3 ways:
- During sign up, you will receive a welcome email with your first service date.
- Log into your account: when you log onto your account, click on the sidebar on the “Subscription details” tab to see when your next cleaning is.
- Text alerts: We try to make it easier on you by sending text messages the night before your cleaning, as well as the morning of your cleaning when our driver is on their way. When signing up make sure to select that you want to receive SMS text messages for this feature to work.
How often should bins be cleaned?
Quarterly visits are our most popular option, yet our monthly service plan is ideal for larger families with more waste accumulation. This keeps your bins looking clean and smelling fresh.
What if I need to reschedule my cleaning?
Log into your account: On the left hand side of the account is a tab labeled “Availability Calendar”. When you click this, you will be able to select all dates that you are unavailable. Our system will automatically schedule your next visit beyond this date.
Do you offer one time cleanings?
Yes, once you click sign up, you will see our available options to choose from. A one time cleaning is typically more expensive than our recurring visits.
Where should I leave my bins?
For service, please leave your bins curbside or in an accessible area after your trash pickup. If your bins are kept inside a gate or garage, please leave them outside or provide access instructions when scheduling.
What happens to the dirt water?
We collect all rinse water during the cleaning process, so nothing is left in your yard or the street. Our system uses a dedicated fresh water tank for cleaning and a separate holding tank to collect used rinse water. This is then properly disposed of according to local regulations.
Why is there a sticker on my trash can?
Skarpa Bin Cleaning may place a small identification sticker on serviced containers to help verify service history, scheduling, and account information. These stickers contain no personal customer information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment information.
Why do additional bins cost more on Bi-Monthly & Quarterly plans?
We price additional bins based on the amount of buildup that typically occurs between cleanings. Since bi-monthly and quarterly services go longer between visits, bins often require more time, hot water, and effort to clean than those on our monthly plan. This helps us maintain the same high-quality results, no matter which schedule you choose.
